Digital textile printing OEM Flora will launch a new UV inkjet printer, equipped with Epson T3200 print heads, at FESPA Global Print Expo 2022.

In the digital textile printing market, Flora has long been recognised for its TX2000EP machine – which has seen significant growth in recent years. With its efficient production capacity and high-quality printing effect, it has become a popular choice for large-volume digital textile printing, the company says.

According to Flora, the technology can help printing enterprises realise digital transformation and upgrade their production capacities.

Besides this, in December 2021 Flora launched a direct-to-textile digital printing machine – the X3 – equipped with Epson S3200 print heads.

Flora says the X3 is the first digital printer with Epson S3200 print heads. The company says the machine prints at 600 sqm/h with high accuracy and brilliant colour.

Flora adds that its X3 machine has outstanding stability. Its smooth belt guide control technology, automatic print head cleaning system and ink circulation technology all guarantee stable and durable printing, helping customers to achieve efficient production. The Flora X3 offers reactive, acid, disperse and pigment printing solutions to meet different customer needs, the OEM continues.

At present, a number of digital printing companies in China are using the Flora X3 for mass production. It has been over six months since the first equipment landed at the first customer's facility. That machine’s daily production capacity is about 2,000m and the current production volume is almost to 100,000m, the company says.

Meanwhile, after years of discussion, collaboration and trials with its customers, Flora has successfully configured its pretreatment technology. Now, the treated fabric can be printed with pigment ink, boasting a renewed clarity of pattern and vivid colours, Flora says.

The company adds that a finished product printed with pigment ink can now compare to those printed with reactive formulas. “The colour, hand-feel and colour fastness [of pigment inks] can all meet the high standards of the famous brands,” says Flora.

Pigment solutions have added value at present. With the development of the textile printing industry, digital pigment printing is more convenient for small orders and allows quick turnaround times. Flora adds that pigment printing is better for the environment than printing with other ink types, leading to greener printing.

Environmentally friendly production is a growing trend in the textile printing industry. With pigments, the Flora X3 can print on natural fabrics and blended fabrics. The company notes that the X3 is very suitable for traditional printing enterprises.

Both the X3, with S3200 print heads and the T3200 print heads, will be promoted at FESPA, which takes place in Berlin, Germany from 31 May – 3 June 2022. Visit Flora at Booth H25-D45.
