In this episode of The WTiN Podcast, we talk to Sophia Scott, co-founder and co-director of the technical and sustainable bags and accessories company, Groundtruth.

After spending more than a decade making feature documentary films within some of the world’s harshest environments, Scott and her two sisters (Nina and Georgia) decided to develop products in response to the challenges of contemporary travel and the rigours of modern life. Launched in 2019, the company currently offers a range of bags and accessories made from sustainable materials.

In this podcast, Scott talks more about the motivation for launching the company, what it’s like to work with her two sisters, and the brand’s recent partnership with The British Academy Film Awards (Bafta). Additionally, she sheds light on the unique material that the bags are made from, some of the challenges that the team has encountered so far, and future collections that are currently in development.
