Konica Minolta remains focused on innovation and sustainability across every stage of the printing process: pre-press, production and post-printing. The Nassenger printer on display at ITM 2024 will be equipped with in-line pretreatment technology, which enables users to bypass the fabric pretreatment phase when printing with dye-based inks. Moreover, the pretreatment solution is only placed where the colour will go, which streamlines the printing process, reduces water consumption and lowers production costs.

Fabric samples printed with Konica Minolta’s water-based pigment solution will also be showcased. By removing steps from the inkjet textile printing process, the innovation enables users to save money in the long-term by reducing energy and water consumption and optimising wastewater disposal.

Meanwhile, in partnership with luxury fashion partner Gentili Mosconi, Konica Minolta has completed the research and development phase of its in-line preparation technology. The two companies also collaborated on the development of the final formula for the reactive ink in the pre-treatment process, which Konica Minolta began distributing internationally at the beginning of 2024.

Konica Minolta is now working to apply the technology to acid and disperse dye processes. The primary objective is to renew the acid ink range by reducing its environmental impact and increasing the colour space.

Konica Minolta offers a comprehensive technical service, which is made up of software, electronic and mechanical engineers. Given the importance of the Turkish market and the number of machines in the territory to date, the company expects to receive numerous visits from Turkish customers, as well as visitors from neighbouring and emerging markets such as Uzbekistan, Egypt and Pakistan.

The company’s new technologies at ITM 2024 will focus on the environment, production process efficiency and printed fabric quality, which it said demonstrates a long-standing commitment to offering solutions and working with different partners in the textile industry to promote innovation and sustainability for the benefit of its customers and society in general.

Konica Minolta can be found in Hall 11, Stand 1112.
