Next generation of digital ID innovations

Mentor, Ohio, US – 23 February, 2024 – Avery Dennison (NYSE:AVY), a global leader in materials science and digital identification solutions, is inviting attendees of the inaugural Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) to explore the possibilities of leveraging digital ID technology for seamless connectivity throughout the supply chain.
VIATT 2024 (February 28 – March 1) takes place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and hosts an extensive mix of international and domestic exhibitors covering multiple textile sub-sectors, including garments, apparel fabrics and accessories, yarns and fibers, digital printing, textile processing and machinery, and more.
At the Avery Dennison booth (A-K16, Hall A), VIATT attendees can experience how the company's innovative digital ID portfolio, featuring Avery Dennison's connected product cloud, atma.io, and its broad portfolio of digital triggers, including QR codes and RFID, can track a product's full chain of custody along the supply chain. The interactive exhibit will showcase how clothing manufacturers and retailers can gain real-time insights, enhance supply chain efficiency, minimize waste, foster circularity, and work towards achieving their sustainability goals.
By presenting demonstrations of Avery Dennison's apparel portfolio, which includes Embelex, Factory Solutions (including in-plant printing) and Digital Solutions, the company is highlighting how its technology plays a pivotal role in advancing a more sustainable future for textiles worldwide.
Items displayed will include the connected jersey, Swijin performance wear embedded with digitally connected heat transfer labels, a digitally-connected BYBORRE scarf, and Transnomadica vintage jeans embedded with digitally-connected printed fabric labels. Embelex Agility® HD heat transfers for sports jerseys, which can be digitally enabled, will also be on display.
Paul Nguyen, sales director, Apparel Solutions, Avery Dennison, and Alexandre Lalumiere, director, in-plant printing solutions, Apparel Solutions, Avery Dennison, will speak at the event on February 28. Their session is entitled: “Connected Digital and Supply Chain Apparel Solutions for Greater Visibility, Enable Traceability with Maximum Efficiency and Better Consumer Engagement.”
A designated customization area within the booth, equipped with a Thermopatch electric heat press bonding machine, will be accessible for visitors to craft personalized tote bags using the latest Embelex Agility® HD heat transfer labels.
