Leading companies such as France-based finishing technology provider SENFA; Haryana, India-based cloth manufacturer Pearl Global Industries; and Paris, France-based interlinings manufacturer Chargeurs are at the forefront of this evolution.
They and others are tapping increasing demand for digital textile printing, which is growing. US-based Grand View Research valued the global market at an estimated US$2.6bn in 2022 and expects it to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.4% from 2023 to 2030.
The related global digital textile printer market is also healthy, according to a paper from Global Market Insights, which predicts an increase from US$2.53bn in 2023, expanding at a CAGR of 3.7% from 2024 to 2032.
India-based market intelligence service provider Research Corridor predicts the global digital textile market will generate US$9bn in annual sales by 2027.
PFP, or PFDP (prepared for digital print), is a key part of this growth, given it improves the quality of output, ensuring that the pre-printing scouring, bleaching and preparation of fabrics for textile printing meets specific standards for ink absorption and print quality.
