Building on its previous presentations at ITMA 2023 in Milan and ITMA ASIA + CITME 2022, SHIMA SEIKI continues this year's theme: "SHIMA SEIKI Reborn."

This concept reflects the company's renewed passion and commitment to innovation, embodied by its R-series machines. At ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the latest flat knitting technology, including new machines, gauges and features. Among the highlights will be the production version of the SWG-XR WHOLEGARMENT knitting machines, which received praise as prototypes at last year’s ITMA events in Milan and Shanghai.

The SWG-XR is a modern evolution of the original SWG-X 4-bed WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine, which debuted at ITMA Milan in 1995 and revolutionised textile technology as the world's first complete garment machine. Equipped with four needle beds and SHIMA SEIKI’s original SlideNeedle technology, the SWG-XR produces high-quality fine gauge WHOLEGARMENT products, offering greater productivity and a wider range of patterns compared to the previous flagship MACH2XS model.
