London, UK – 14 August, 2025 – To mark the 10th anniversary of its Global Change Award, H&M Foundation is partnering with The Mills Fabrica to host a one-month exhibition celebrating ‘Ten Years of Change’ at Fabrica X, London.
Initiated and launched in 2015 by the non-profit H&M Foundation, the Global Change Award aims to accelerate the transformation of the fashion and textile industry by supporting early-stage ideas with the potential to help decarbonise the fashion industry, whilst ensuring a just transition for people as well as the planet.
As one of the first of its kind, it is one of the most recognised accolades in the fashion innovation space, providing a stamp of approval for winners that gives investors confidence to support their forward journeys.
Over the past decade, H&M Foundation has supported 56 innovations globally with a total grant of €10 million, providing them with mentoring, connections to the industry and a platform to scale their solutions.
Celebrating a decade of bold ideas and transformative impact, the Global Change Award Alumni Exhibition, opening on 17 September and running until 14 October 2025 at Fabrica X, The Mills Fabrica's innovation gallery, marks a milestone in the award's history. The exhibition will showcase 20 international alumni innovators driving change across materials, textile recycling, design, and production. This collective celebration reflects on a decade of progress while envisioning the next 10 years of fashion systems’ transformation.
Visitors to the exhibition will discover interactive exhibits, material samples, and inspiring founder stories, all highlighting how GCA alumni are solving fashion’s most urgent challenges and building a more regenerative industry.
Ambercycle, the very first Global Change Award winner, recognised in 2015 for its groundbreaking molecular regeneration technology, is a standout example of how innovation can scale with the right support. Today, their signature material, cycora®, is powering circular fashion by transforming end-of-life textiles into high-performance fibres. Through securing partnerships and multi-year agreements with companies such as Inditex, GANNI and Arc'teryx, Ambercycle demonstrates the important role that innovation plays in advancing circularity for the industry.
