Amsterdam, The Netherlands – 18 February, 2025 –The world First Circular Fashion Factory: Proud to announce that Brightfiber Textiles opened the groundbreaking fiber-to-fiber recycling factory in Amsterdam.

We’ve built the world’s first fully automated, large-scale textile factory dedicated entirely to turning old clothing into high-quality raw materials. Our innovative technology transforms waste into fibers ready for yarns, fabrics, and new garments.

Why This Matters:
The Netherlands collects 300 million kilos of discarded clothing annually, yet just 0.3% is recycled. Fiber-to-fiber recycling has long faced scalability challenges—until now. Brightfiber Textiles provides the circular breakthrough the industry has been waiting for.

Innovation in Action:
Our advanced machinery technologies, sorts textiles by material and color, removes contaminants, and completes the process with a revolutionary fiberizing machine.

What’s Next:
This factory is just the start. Our ambition? To bring this scalable solution to upcycle all waste streams in the Metropool Region of Amsterdam, and beyond ....to upscale to other regions and countries, revolutionizing textile recycling globally and making fashion truly circular.

The factory will officially open end of March. Brands are invited to tour the facility and be among the first in the world to create high-quality, sustainable, circular collections using locally sourced textile waste.
