Already, 2025 will see the closure of two technical textile manufacturers’ European plants, due to high costs and sluggish market conditions for outdoorwear.
On Tuesday (7 January), Mehler Texnologies announced the planned closure of its Fulda Plant. While on 16 November 2024, Schoeller Textil AG confirmed plans to cease activities in Sevelen, Switzerland, toward the end of 2025.
