Dr Li Ruoxing, a distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Textile and Apparel Engineering, Soochow University, China talks to WTiN about the challenges in the digital textile print market and the Chinese segment more specifically as well as the technology that will develop the industry further.

China continues to dominate the digital textile print sector, despite recent difficulties. WTiN’s most recent Digital Textile Printing intelligence report (2025), notes that weakening domestic consumption, global trade tensions between the US and China and low consumer confidence in Europe and North America have impacted textile exports, including digitally printed products.
