UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT) has launched a new report ‘Reshoring for real: The Future of Domestic Apparel Manufacturing’, analysing opportunities for growing domestic fashion manufacturing.
The report, which consultancy SP&KO has contributed in-depth industry research and ESG expertise to, explores current sourcing trends and future prospects for localised supply chains and manufacturing.
Based on the insights of eight UK retails, with a combined turnover of £26.1bn and operations in 180 countries, the report looks at sourcing behaviours, global supply chain dynamics, circularity initiatives to provide recommendations for boosting domestic UK manufacturing.
However, the report was conducted prior to the introduction of the new Global Tariffs imposed by the US in 2025.
