London, UK – 9 October, 2025 - PANGAIA Lab, the materials innovation platform of PANGAIA, introduces AeoniQ™, a limited-edition unisex capsule of 55 pieces. Each piece is crafted entirely from AeoniQ™, a biodegradable cellulosic filament yarn developed by HeiQ. Climate-positive by design, AeoniQ™ replicates the performance of polyester and nylon without their environmental cost. AeoniQ™ offers a pioneering alternative to fossil-fuel-derived synthetics, engineered for closed-loop circularity.
Designed and made in London, the capsule translates science-led innovation into minimalist essentials. It features a hooded jacket, a half-zip overtop, and straight-leg trousers, defined by soft, clean lines and subtle draping. Fluid yet structured, the pieces move naturally with the body, offering versatile staples for travel and lounge. The smooth, lustrous fabric is gentle against the skin, with a flowing, refined hand feel.
Tonal, laser-etched text blocks provide a discreet identity without adding components that reflect PANGAIA’s commitment to responsible creation. Streamlined collars integrate seamlessly into hoods, emphasizing design simplicity and functional precision. Each piece transitions effortlessly from journey to everyday.
Each year, an estimated 92 million tons of textile waste end up in landfill (United Nations Environment Programme & UN-Habitat), a figure projected to exceed 134 million tons by 2030, much of it synthetic and non-biodegradable. AeoniQ™ is produced for closed-loop circularity, utilizing renewable cellulose feedstocks, including wood pulp. Fully recyclable and biodegradable, it reduces CO₂ emissions and avoids microplastic pollution, while delivering performance comparable to synthetics. Each ton of AeoniQ™ saves up to 3.2 tons of carbon emissions.
