Overijssel, The Netherlands – 10 September, 2025 - Dutch fibre technology company SaXcell has secured €4 million in funding, part of a planned €5 million investment. The funding will support the launch of a full-scale production plant and a pulp development centre, marking a key step in advancing sustainable textile solutions.
The funding marks a pivotal moment for SaXcell, whose mission centres on scaling circular textile solutions through its proprietary regenerated cellulose fibre technology. The investment will enable the company to transition from pilot-scale operations to industrial production, positioning Enschede as a hub for recycled fibre innovation.
The financial backing comes from SaXcell’s Turkish shareholders—Modeco Textile, Uğurlular Tekstil, and Selin Tekstil—whose commitment to sustainable practices and belief in the future of circular textiles have been instrumental in driving the project forward.
