Cedar Creek, North Carolina, US – 6 June, 2025 – Following the recent announcement by Alpek, S.A.B. de C.V. regarding the planned cessation of operations at its PET resin facility in Cedar Creek. Selenis North America wishes to reassure all stakeholders that this decision does not impact our operations in the region, either now or in the future, namely our textile-to-textile recycling new plant we are devolving together with our strategic partner Syre.

Selenis North America remains fully committed to our activities in Cedar Creek, where we continue to operate independently and without disruption. Our site is not affected by Alpek’s announcement, and we are actively advancing a robust development and investment plan aimed at reinforcing our long-term presence and capacity in the region.

This strategic investment initiative underscores our dedication to serving our customers with innovative specialty polyesters and to contributing positively to the local economy and community. Cedar Creek plays a vital role in our North American operations, and we are confident in its potential as a center of manufacturing excellence.

We appreciate the continued trust of our partners and remain focused on delivering sustainable, high-performance solutions while building a resilient future for our operations in Cedar Creek and beyond.
