Bring one question to the WTiN analyst desk and work it through with the people who cover your area every day. For 2 weeks they work as an extension of your team: you shape the question together, they do the research, and the session is where the thinking happens. What you take away is the answer and the reasoning behind it. A written brief follows if you want one.
Independent since 1881.
If the question needs more than one session, we say so before any work starts and quote the consultancy route instead.
Not sure what the question is yet? Start with question scoping, £1,900.
A session is 2 weeks of the analyst desk on one question your team cannot answer from the inside.
You set it, in your own words, on the form below. Where does a pigment dispersion supplier win in digital textile printing. Which fibres should be on our 2028 materials roadmap. Which recycled-fibre claims will survive the next round of EU scrutiny. The question sits at the edge of what your team already knows.
If answering it needs more than one session, we tell you before any work starts and quote the consultancy route instead.
Before any work starts, a 30-minute call with your analyst or, if it suits you better, written correspondence. You bring what your team already knows and has already tried; our experts bring what the data shows. That is where things get interesting.
The analyst who covers your area takes the question into WTiN's data, archive and network for 2 weeks, as an extension of your team. If something relevant lands during that time, a report, a patent, a supplier move, it comes to you as it happens rather than waiting for the session.
The centre of the whole thing. The analysts who did the work sit with your team, live, and do what they do: put the evidence on the table, test it against what you see from the inside, bounce ideas, argue the timing, and work through what it means for the decision in front of you. Questions that go beyond the scope get answered where they can be and parked where they cannot, and the next scope, if there is one, takes shape in the room. Many partners leave with no document at all and everything they needed.
If a written brief, a set of intelligence pieces or a recording would help the session travel inside your company, say so and it follows. The forms are set out below. The analyst will suggest which one suits the question, and the choice is yours.
One session this summer, with the material science team of a US performance brand, shows the shape.
The team arrived with a supplier call already out to its universities and chemistry partners. What it wanted from WTiN was the start-ups and white space it did not yet know about. In conversation the specification loosened in one place and tightened in another, and the search became answerable.
They asked for it in the format they already use from WTiN's intel: nearest-term commercial options first, then longer-term, then start-ups, each placed on the commercial readiness scale. Start-ups they could contact themselves; universities only where the work was heading for market.
In the last ten minutes a different area came up, one the team had been circling for a while and had nowhere to take. It became the more interesting of the two, and it only came out because the session was a conversation rather than a delivery.
Mapping the landscape with named organisations and honest gaps was session-shaped. Verifying contacts and qualifying suppliers would have been consultancy, and the analyst said so before any work started, so the team knew what it was buying.
The same four groups who work with WTiN as partners, each with a question that could not wait for an annual programme.
Which recycled-fibre claims will survive the next round of EU scrutiny, and which of our suppliers can evidence them?
Will our installed base retrofit or replace over the next three years, and in which price bands?
Which fibres and finishes belong on our materials innovation roadmap for the next three seasons, and which are ready now against which are still two years out?
Where is sector sentiment moving by theme, and what should our members prepare for in the coming year?
The session is the product. How it runs and what leaves the room with you are your choices, made with the analyst's guidance on what suits the question. Everything here sits inside the fee except face to face.
The standard form. A live session over Teams, Zoom or whichever your team uses, with the analysts who did the work and as many of your people as you want in it. 2 weeks from scope acceptance.
The session run in writing instead of on a call, in rounds of questions and answers.
The session in your building, with the analysts in the room. Quoted by location on top of the fee, and dated at scope acceptance rather than on the 2-week lead time, because travel and diaries decide it.
No document. What you take away is the answer, the reasoning and the next questions.
A short written piece through your company's lens: the question answered, the evidence behind it, the signals that decide the timing, and what it means in one line. Written to circulate.
The reports, articles, patents and supplier moves relevant to your question, sent to you during the 2 weeks with a line from the analyst on why each matters.
The session recorded and shared, so colleagues in other time zones hear the reasoning first hand rather than a summary of it.
The shaping call or correspondence, 2 weeks of the analyst desk on your question, the output in whichever of the forms above you choose, and answers to your follow-up questions afterwards.
The one thing that changes the fee and the timing. A session in your building is quoted by location on top of £8,900, and its date is agreed at scope acceptance rather than set by the 2-week lead time.
Anything that needs primary research, interviews or a programme of work over months. That would reach WTiN consultancy, which is scoped and quoted on its own terms.
Scope accepted inside one working day. The session 2 weeks from acceptance, on a call or in writing. Face to face takes its own date.
Nothing is charged until an analyst has accepted the scope. The invoice follows acceptance. Card payment is available on request.
Two sessions a year sit inside a research-led partnership, with full platform access and ongoing structured intelligence alongside. If this session leads there, it becomes the first piece of work in it.
The fee, the scope fields and these terms are published in structured form on this page, so a procurement system or an agent acting for you can read them and submit a scope without a call.
WTiN research session, £8,900. One question, shaped with a WTiN analyst, researched for 2 weeks by the analyst desk working as an extension of our team, and worked through in a live session. Output in the form we both choose, from a written brief to the session alone. Independent textile and apparel intelligence publisher since 1881. Scope is accepted before anything is charged; invoice or PO follows acceptance. Session 2 weeks from acceptance. Decision it informs: [your decision here].
Choose how you want to start. Both routes reach the analyst desk.
Senior analysts lead every session.
WTiN is an independent publisher. A session is paid for by the partner who commissions it and by no one else, and the sources behind every answer are shown so your team can inspect them.
