Fisher Textiles, a supplier of fabrics for digital printing, has announced the release of DD 4419 Nirvana B.O.B – its newest F7-certified fabric for soft signage silicone-edge graphics and roll up banner stand applications.

The DD 4419 Nirvana B.O.B fabric has a white face and a coated black back, offering a two-in-one solution for printable fabric with a built-in liner, says Fisher Textiles. Key features are the soft hand, white point with a Delta E value less than 1.0, ability to cold cut and a built-in finished back that is 100% opaque and eliminates the need for a liner, which Fisher Textiles says provides cost savings in material and labour.

The company adds that Nirvana is an ideal fabric for banners and retractable banner stands because of the printability and finished back side. The coating allows the banner to track and roll up on itself for easy use and precise alignment. Other uses include front-lit SEG and pillow case fabric displays with no liner. The fabric is 126 inches wide, maximising production efficiency and expanding usage options for large-scale banner applications. It weighs 7.7 oz/yd2 and is flame retardant, meeting NFPA 701 and German DIN 4102-1 (B1) fire standards.

The new fabric is specially treated for direct dye-sublimation printing and the F7 certified fabrics undergo a comprehensive manufacturing process to ensure reliability and consistency on every roll, the company says.

The F7 fabric line was first launched in December last year and meets with all the stringent rules and regulations that now apply to this field as a result of the industry’s drive to become safer and more sustainable. The line-up of F7 fabrics includes soft knit, heavy knit, stretch and flag fabrics to accommodate a wide range of applications.

The fabrics have a colour purity system with a verified white point on every lot, and specialised manufacturing equipment ensures 100% accurate digital defect scanning and fabric form balancing for consistent weight and construction, says Fisher Textiles.
