Following a successful inaugural event earlier this year, the second edition of INDA’s Absorbent Hygiene Training Course is set to take place on 27-29 November 2018. The course, which will take place at INDA’s headquarters in Cary, North Carolina, US, will run over two-and-a-half days and is designed to meet the needs of new or early career employees in the nonwoven hygiene product industry.
The course will focus on diapers, incontinence products and feminine care pads/liners with design elements and functions of product parts, materials composition, performance tiers and converting considerations for product design.
INDA states that the second course comes in response to a strong industry demand following the first edition of the course in May 2018, which sold out. “We saw an unmet need for training that goes beyond a one-day seminar and covers the design and function of absorbent hygiene products more comprehensively since it is such an important sector for our industry,” said Dave Rousse, INDA president.
Participants will also learn about the major components commonly found in diapers and other hygiene products, including the Acquisition-Absorbent System and Chassis Containment Systems.
