SAKATA INX has unveiled its new TXSF pigment ink, which the company describes as a medium viscosity solution, and visitors to WTiN’s ongoing Innovate Textile & Apparel virtual trade show (15-30 October) can discover more about the product at the Japanese company’s booth.

In the rapidly evolving textile printing market, inks and chemicals are required to contribute to an improved level of sustainability as consumers become increasingly conscious about the environmental impact of their purchases.

With that in mind, SAKATA INX says its latest TXSF pigment ink – available in CMYK, red, green, blue, and orange – is designed to be compliant with GOTS, OEKO-TEX Eco Passport, and ZDHC MRSL V2.0 regulations.

The TXSF pigment ink is an evolution of the TXKC pigment ink, which SAKATA INX launched back in 2018.  Both inks are compatible with Kyocera print heads and offer, according to SAKATA INX, good wet and dry crock fastness courtesy of ‘a proper binder’ in the ink formula. At the same time, jetting performance and stability around the nozzles are well maintained, the company adds.

Elsewhere, INX Digital EMEA – a SAKATA INX company – has made its Mega Ink brand available online having long been providing inkjet ink and technical services for the graphics market.

One of the company’s standout solutions is the Series-DS dye-sublimation ink that is designed to print onto textile applications, including flags and banners. Additionally, like the company’s new Mega Ink brand, the series-DS+ ink is accessible online and is designed to print onto transfer paper for the apparel and sportwear markets. Together, the Series-DS inks encompass profitable and high-growth markets for the digital textile printing industry.

Both the Series-DS and Series-DS+ inks are low viscosity products suited to EPSON print head technology: the long-run test has been performed on various printers equipped with EPSON DX3, DX4, DX5, and DX7 print heads, INX Digital explains. The inks’ main features include fast drying and bright vivid colours.
