Texo Trade Services (TTS), a company that manufactures transfer printing media and printable textiles, has opened two new stock locations in Europe – one in Paris and the other in Leicester.

New TTS warehouse facility

The two locations were chosen so that the company can better serve a concentration of customers in both the midlands of England and the French capital of Paris. With this local customer-oriented stock, TTS increases its service and delivery speed. The company says it currently aims to get products to the customer on the same day and never more than 24 hours after the order was received. This enables its customers to guarantee their own clients faster turnaround times, allowing them to better distinguish themselves herein. This is a prime example of the impact trends like fast fashion are having on the entire textile supply chain – not just the apparel manufacturers and retailers.

The market demands faster delivery times, according to TTS. The company’s response to this has translated into new stock locations with a range of quality products that is tailored to the customers in the surrounding regions. Besides the warehouses in Leicester, Paris and of course Waddinxveen, TTS has for many years operated a stock location in the Italian city of Como.

TTS will be opening warehouse facilities in Leicester and Paris

TTS adds that, in addition to faster delivery, its customers also enjoy the opportunity to purchase a smaller quantity per order for proper stock and cost management. The apparent advantage of this is that they keep their stock low, ultimately reducing costs, while maintaining the same level of orders.

With customer demands continuing to rise, TTS believes fast delivery is very important. Consequently, the company forecasts that it will open new warehouses in the near future to complement its commitment to same-day delivery. Traditionally, customers are not very patient and that tolerance will wear even thinner in the wake of new, more capable technology. This has sparked a reshoring movement in western economies as companies realise that manufacturing products closer to then end consumer is more valuable. Reasons for this include automation, which requires a much smaller workforce, and significant savings in logistics operations. TTS says it continues to investigate where it could be of service to its customers.

This news comes shortly after the company opened a new energy neutral sample-production facility as it looks to meet demand for digitally printable textile media for visual communication, digital sublimation paper and silk-screen transfer paper.
